Sinyea Town, Bong County – The Adolescent Girls Initiative Inc. (AGII) has concluded a one-day leadership development training for over 60 women in Sinyea Town, Suakoko District, as part of activities marking International Women’s Day on March 8, 2025.

The training brought together young and aspiring female leaders from diverse backgrounds to enhance their leadership skills and deepen their understanding of the significance of International Women’s Day. It aimed to equip participants with the necessary tools to become effective leaders in their communities.

AGII, a non-profit organization founded by Madam Lucia M. Fahnbulleh on November 21, 2021, is dedicated to empowering adolescent girls and young women by providing them with essential skills and resources to build confidence and contribute meaningfully to society.

During the event, AGII Executive Director, Mr. Aaron T. Momo, emphasized that the training was designed to broaden young women’s knowledge on the importance of International Women’s Day while strengthening their leadership capabilities.

Facilitating the session, Miss Rhodle B. Mars spoke on the theme, “Empowering Young Women for Leadership Enhancement.” She encouraged participants to remain focused and actively pursue leadership opportunities alongside their male counterparts. She reminded them that leadership is not limited by gender and urged them to step forward with confidence.

Participants expressed gratitude to AGII for the mentorship opportunity, stating that the training had expanded their understanding of leadership and gender equality. They pledged to apply the knowledge gained to help bridge the gap between men and women in leadership positions within their communities.

The event concluded with a renewed commitment from participants to actively engage in leadership roles and advocate for gender equality in all spheres of society.
