BONG COUNTY, LIBERIA – The Yassah Meme Teiglee Memorial Foundation, founded by CEO Stephen D. Teiglee, is making a profound impact on the lives of disadvantaged youth and underserved communities in Bong County and across Liberia. Established on December 11, 2019, in memory of Teiglee’s late mother, the foundation is dedicated to fostering sustainable development and rehabilitating young people affected by Liberia’s civil conflict.

In a recent phone interview from the United States, Teiglee highlighted the foundation’s core mission: to support disbanded youth, many of whom have been affected by war and have struggled with criminal activities or substance abuse. The foundation provides education, vocational training, and life skills workshops to help reintegrate these young individuals into society and equip them with the tools needed for a brighter future.

Beyond youth rehabilitation, the foundation also engages in various humanitarian efforts in Bong County. These include organizing youth sports programs, offering rehabilitative services, and providing essential donations to vulnerable members of the community.

Teiglee, a native of Bong County, remains deeply committed to uplifting his home region. He firmly believes that everyone, regardless of past circumstances, deserves an opportunity to succeed. His foundation’s work reflects his passion for giving back and his unwavering belief in the power of education and social support to transform lives.

An alumnus of St. Martin’s Catholic High School in Gbarnga, Teiglee has taken on leadership roles in various community initiatives. His dedication to community development has earned him recognition both locally and internationally.

With continued efforts and the support of dedicated volunteers and staff, the Yassah Meme Teiglee Memorial Foundation is bringing hope and new opportunities to the youth and communities of Bong County, contributing to the broader goal of national development in Liberia.
