Suakoko District, Bong County: Cuttington University has officially Capped, Badged, and Coated over 90 students from the Herbert & Marion Donovah College of Health Sciences, marking a significant milestone in their journey toward becoming healthcare professionals.

The ceremony, held on Saturday, April 5, at the university’s main campus in Suakoko District, Bong County, honored students specializing in Nursing and Physician Assistant programs.

Presenting the honorees, Mrs. Ruth Sumo Gibdersleeves, Dean of the Herbert & Marion Donovah College of Health Sciences, confirmed that the students had successfully completed and fulfilled all course requirements outlined by the college and the university. She noted that the students were vetted and approved by the respective department chairs in accordance with the institution’s academic standards.

Dean Gibdersleeves formally requested the university’s administration to approve the students’ transition into their clinical and community outreach programs, signaling the next phase of their practical training.

According to her, the Nursing program honored 51 students—five males and 46 females—while the Physician Assistant program recognized 41 students, comprising 23 males and 18 females. In total, 97 students were capped, badged, and coated during the ceremony.

Delivering brief remarks, Cuttington University President Dr. Romelle A. Horton commended Dean Gibdersleeves and her team for their dedication to maintaining academic excellence. She further urged the students to uphold integrity and professionalism as they advance in their healthcare careers.

Cuttington University remains one of Liberia’s leading private institutions, committed to delivering quality higher education to both Liberians and international students.
