Vice President Honorable Jeremiah Kpan Koung has expressed profound gratitude to the United States government for its ongoing support to Liberia, particularly highlighting a recent donation of uniforms to the Liberia National Police (LNP).

During a ceremony held on September 26, 2024, VP Koung emphasized the importance of the new uniforms in enhancing the professional appearance of LNP officers as they carry out their vital law enforcement duties. He also urged LNP authorities to implement effective mechanisms for the maintenance of the donated items to ensure their longevity and utility.

Attorney General and Justice Minister Cllr. Oswald Tweh, along with Police Inspector General Gregory Coleman, also praised the U.S. government for its generous contributions, singling out Ambassador Mark Torner for his technical support in bolstering the LNP’s operational capabilities.

Inspector General Coleman, who accepted the donation on behalf of the LNP, assured attendees that the items would be utilized for their intended purposes, reinforcing the commitment to enhancing law enforcement standards in Liberia.

The assortment of donated items, which included office equipment and stationery, was presented by Sally Schneider, Head of the International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Association (INL), on behalf of the U.S. government.
